A free outdoor discovery series hosted by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department takes place Thursday nights at Alameda Park. The programs begin at 7 p.m. in the Carousel Shelter. Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, celebrates Moth Week with a program at 8 p.m. Saturday. A 90-minute guided prairie bloom walk will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday and Aug. 5. The walk will begin in the prairie parking area. Jennings is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Call 724-794-6011.
