The New Young Women of Country, featuring Katie Armiger and Butler native Sydney Hutchko, will open the 2012-13 Performing Arts Series at 8 p.m. Friday at Butler County Community College's Succop Theater.
Armiger recently released “Confessions of a Nice Girl.”
A previous single, “Kiss Me Now” was her second to hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Indicator Chart, while “Trail of Lies” landed in the Top 20 on Music Row, setting a mark as the highest charting independent female artist in 2009.
Hutchko was born and raised in Butler, but now is pursuing a career in Nashville.
She wrote many tracks for her self-titled extended play release, which came out in June 2011.
