The Audubon Society has the following events at the Succop Conservancy, 185 W. Airport Road, Penn Township. Christmas bird count training will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday; cost is $6 per member and $10 per nonmember. Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, is the site of “Step into Showshoes” starting in December. When enough snow covers the trails, a limited number of snowshoes and trekking skis will be available for use in the park. The center will be open on a special basis on snowy Saturdays, as well as during regular Monday through Friday business days, with staff on hand to loan equipment and assist borrowers. Snowshoes and skis will be available on a first-come-first-served basis between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. A valid driver’s license or identification card must be provided.
