The sixth annual Oil Country Bluegrass Festival is set for Friday through Sunday at the Days Inn, formerly The Arlington Hotel, at 1 Seneca St., Oil City. Like last year, the festival performances will take place about every half hour beginning at 6 p.m. or shortly thereafter Friday; by 1 p.m. Saturday; and by 9 a.m. Sunday. Bands donating their time to benefit sponsoring nonprofit organizations include Border Ride, the Dempseytown Ramblers, Grover and the Nighthawks, Road Apple Ridge, The Pine Valley Boys and Wildwood Express. Chanticleer, the ensemble known as an orchestra of voices, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday as part of the 20th anniversary season of Music in a Great Space at Shadyside Presbyterian Church, 5121 Westminster Place.
