Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will host a build-a-horse program for children from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Activities will include a stick horse building and decorating session. Cost is $10 per child and $8 for each additional child and includes materials and a snack. The horses will be used to announce the Year of the Horse and the Maridon's 10th anniversary. Saxonburg Area Artists Cooperative, 215 Main St. rear, Saxonburg, presents paintings, collage work and tiles by Bernadette Wladyka of Leesburg, Va., through Saturday. Admission is free. Gallery hours are noon to 8 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays. Call 412-260-5779.

Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., continues the Carnegie International through March 16. Artist talks, performances and workshops accompany the exhibit. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with additional hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens, $11.95 for children ages 3 to 18, and free for children under 3. Admission after 4 p.m. on Thursdays is discounted.
