Drake Well Museum, 202 Museum Lane, Titusville, will host a Pithole Sledding Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (weather permitting) at the Pithole historic site at 14118 Pithole Road, just off Route 227 near Plumer. Admission is free. Children younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Activities will include a bonfire, hot cocoa and cookies. Call 814-827-2797.

PITTSBURGH

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, opens the Tropical Forest Congo exhibit Saturday. The annual orchid and tropical bonsai show continues through March 1. Daily hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and until 10 p.m. Fridays. Admission is $15 for adults; $14 for students and senior citizens; and $11 for children ages 2 to 18. Call 412-622-6914.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, will present StormFest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The “Blue!” exhibit has moved to the fourth floor, making way for the newest exhibit, “H2Oh!,” which will open Feb. 28. Center hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. General admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 3 to 12.
