Musical Theater Guild will conduct auditions for “Rent” at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5 and 9.

“Rent” is a rock musical with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson loosely based on Puccini’s opera “La Boheme.” The musical tells the story of a group of impoverished young artists in New York’s East Village.

The director is Brent Rodgers. The producer is Justin Anderson.
