Slippery Rock UniversityAfrican-American art, including drawings, etching and lithographs, will be exhibited Tuesday through Feb. 25 in “A Collaboration of Creativity, Two Masters: David C. Driskell Master Artist and Curlee R. Holton Master Printmaker” at the Martha Gault Art Gallery, 108 Maltby Ave. The opening is 4:40 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The gallery is open noon to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Grove City CollegeThree acts featuring GCC alumni Joel Ansett, Blue Light Bandits and The Stairwells will headline a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in Crawford Auditorium.The event is intended to raise awareness and funds for the Lt. Barret A. Snyder ’08 Memorial Scholarship Endowment.Snyder, a member of Alpha Epsilon Chi, died in an accident in 2011 three days after he was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.Tickets are $8 with student ID, or $15 for the general public.To request tickets, e-mail name and number of tickets to thelamplightsessions@gmail.com.
