A Seven Fields man is accused of possessing a stolen firearm while on probation.

Aaron John Whittington, 18, was allegedly found Monday, July 13, with a firearm reported stolen out of Bellevue. It appeared to have been modified to be fully automatic, Northern Regional police said.

Whittington was charged Monday with felony receiving stolen property following the incident.

According to police, the firearm was found in Whittington’s bedroom while probation officers were checking on him, police.

Whittington is being held in Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 31 before District Judge Kevin Flaherty.
