Local churches have set their Ash Wednesday services:

Christ Community United Methodist Church,

205 N. Duffy Road will hold service at 7:30 p.m. The Imposition of Ashes will conclude the service.

Covenant Presbyterian Church,

230 E. Jefferson St., will hold a Communion service at 7 p.m.. A reception will follow in the Assembly Room.

First English Lutheran Church,

241 N. Main St., will hold a

Lenten service at 7:30 p.m.

First United Methodist Church,

200 E. North St., will host a service at 7 p.m.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church,

1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will hold

a 7:30 p.m. service. Ashes will be offered.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church,

123 E. Diamond St., will hold a 7 p.m. service.

Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church,

727 W. Old Route 422, will hold service at 7 p.m.

St. John's Evangelical Church,

Main St., Connoquenessing, will hold service at 7 p.m.

St. Richard Roman Catholic Church,

3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, will celebrate Mass and distribute ashes at 9 a.m. and at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Nursing home.

The Liturgy of the Word will be held every hour from noon to 7 p.m. and the Distribution of Ashes will be held every hour from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Trinity Presbyterian Church,

107 Staley Ave., will participate in the 7 p.m. service at Covenant Presbyterian Church.

West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church,

215 E. Church St., West Sunbury, will hold service at 7 p.m. The service will include the Imposition of Ashes and the laying of sins at the foot of the cross.
