The following services will be held Ash Wednesday, Feb. 21:

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler Township will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m.•

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will participate in a joint Presbyterian Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be celebrated and light refreshments will be served following worship.•

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will host a service with Holy Communion at 7:30 p.m.•

First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8 at Heckert Road, will hold an Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m.•

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host a 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday service.•

Mars United Presbyterian Church, Crowe Avenue, will host a Communion service at 7 p.m.•

Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler Township, will participate in an Ash Wednesday service with Communion at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church.•

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson St., will participate in a Communion service at 7 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church.•

St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will host an Ash Wednesday services at 7 p.m. The service will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.•

St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church, 101 W. High St., Kittanning, will offer the distribution of ashes at 8 a.m. and 12:05, 5 and 7 p.m.•

St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., will offer the imposition of ashes and Holy Communion at noon and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The church will also host a pancake supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.•

Saxonburg Memorial United Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Saxonburg, will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m.•

Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Dr., Jefferson Township, will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. The Praise Team will provide music for the service and there will be a guest speaker. For information or directions, call 724-287-2378.•

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will host services at noon and 7 p.m. Each service will include Holy Communion and distribution of ashes.•

Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township, will an Ash Wednesday Communion service at 7 p.m. for local Presbyterian churches. Music will be provided by combined church choirs. A cookie reception will follow.•

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, will host a Community Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 p.m. Congregations of Valencia United Methodist Church and Mars United Methodist Church will participate. Communion will be served and ashes will be received. Nursery care will be available for children age 5 and younger.•

West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church, 215 East Church St., West Sunbury, will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. The service will feature the imposition of ashes and an opportunity to visually prepare for the season of Lent by leaving sins at the foot of the cross.
