The following services will be held on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 6:

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will host a brief service with meditation, prayer and imposition of ashes at noon.

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will host a service at 7:30 p.m.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host a service at 7 p.m.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will hold a Reception of Ashes and Communion at 7 p.m.

Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will participate in a service at 7:30 p.m. at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church.

Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, Franklin Township, will hold a service at 7 p.m.

Nixon United Methodist Church, Airport Road, Penn Township, will host a service at 7 p.m. entitled "Take Up Thy Cross." The service will include Communion and the imposition of ashes.

Oak Hills Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Old Plank and Township Line Roads, will host a service at 7 p.m. The service includes the imposition of ashes.

Rider Lutheran Church, Rider Church Road, Center Township, will host a service following a 6 p.m. potluck dinner.

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson St., will host a service for Butler area Presbyterian Churches at 7:30 p.m. Communion will be served, a community choir will perform and the Porter family of Hill United Presbyterian Church will speak about their recent trip to Ghana.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., will hold services with Holy Eucharist at noon and 7:30 p.m.

St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, will celebrate Mass and the distribution of ashes at 9 a.m. at the church and 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Nursing Home. From noon to 7 p.m., the Liturgy of the Word and distribution of ashes will be held each hour.

St. Thomas Church in-the-Fields, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Gibsonia, will host services at noon and 7 p.m.

Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, Jefferson Township, will host a service at 7 p.m.

Valencia Presbyterian Church will host a service for area churches at 7:30 p.m. Communion will be served.

Zion Lutheran Church, 266 Zion Church Road, Concord Township, will host a service with Communion at 7 p.m.
