Philharmonic to open new season at BC3

The Pittsburgh Philharmonic will open its season at Butler County Community College on Oct. 21.
“Rhapsodic” will begin at 8 p.m. at the Succop Theater on campus.
The Philharmonic has about 60 volunteer musicians from the tri-state area — ranging in age from 15 to 80 — who perform classical music around the region. Conducting will be music director Edward Leonard.

In the Local Artists Series, Grand ’Ole Radio will perform at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Succop Theater.
