Prospect man dies following motorcycle crash

A Prospect man died Thursday, July 9 from injuries sustained June 29 in a motorcycle crash while he was driving to work in Allegheny County.

Gregory McCauley, 43, died in Allegheny General Hospital from the injuries he sustained when the motorcycle he was operating was struck by a vehicle at 9 a.m. in the 500 block of Keystone Drive in Warrendale, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner’s office and his obituary.

He was turning into his place of work when he was struck and sustained significant injuries that resulted in his death. He was pronounced dead at 12:33 a.m. July 9, according to the medical examiner’s office.

According to McCauley’s obituary in Monday’s Butler Eagle, he was owner and operator of McCauley Contracting since 2014, and was also employed as a shipping manager at Chick Manufacturing.
