PENN TWP — The Maridon Museum in Butler celebrated the Year of the Snake at the Butler Country Club on Feb. 16, raising more than $35,000 to support the museum's operations.

Hors d'oeuvres and dinner were followed by dancing and entertainment by the Butler Strolling Strings and DJ Andy Booth. Donated Chinese auction baskets also raised funds for the museum.

The Maridon will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year and is planning another celebration to commemorate the event.
