JOHNSTOWN — A coroner says a man was laying beneath a tractor-trailer to repair it when another worker at the same company unwittingly drove the vehicle, dragging the first man to his death.

Officials at Snyder Excavating in Jackson Township didn’t answer the phone Thursday. A message says the company is closed to mourn the death of an employee.

Cambria County Coroner Jeffrey Lees says that man is Josh Weyandt, 30, of Johnstown.

The coroner and police were investigating and have not released the name of the other employee. The coroner has ruled the death an accident.
