Fair Winds Manor

After more than 50 years of providing quality personal care, skilled nursing care and therapy for the community of Sarver, Fair Winds Manor remains one of the most majestic and impressive facilities in our area. In the medical community, Fair Winds’ reputation for health care speaks for itself, but in Sarver, the beauty of the building is more often a topic of conversation.

Built in 1957, the Iron Bridge Road long-term health care facility is on a picturesque hillside, just a few miles from Route 356 in Sarver. Although close to shopping, dining and Route 28, the wooded property makes an ideal setting for senior citizens to enjoy a carefree lifestyle.

Just as impressive as the setting is the facility itself, boasting one of the most beautiful dining rooms in our region, and a recreation area that makes architecture buffs swoon. In 2009, the staff and management of Fair Winds Manor is eager to further enhance the amenities.

“Last year we spent nearly $180,000 to update and improve the facility, but that was all for things that no one really notices,” stated Administrator Mike Ligo.

“We updated the roof, the elevators, the air conditioning system, water pumps, etc. just because we are proactive. We made these updates long before there was any need for them.

“We are excited now because we can focus on updates and renovations that our residents and visitors can actually see and enjoy during 2009.”

Locally owned and operated by the Tack Family, who possess more than 35 years of health care experience, Fair Winds Manor invites everyone to attend “Country Fair ‘09,” with a 5K Fun Run, Dunking Tank, craft vendors, food, music, and activities for all ages on June 6.
