I volunteer because I like helping people.
Just within the past two years, I had to document my service hours for Girl Scouts, and I have almost 140 hours now. I also baby-sit and help my friends with homework.
I don’t just volunteer for myself but for other people. I help out at Girl Scout Brownie meetings because they had a new leader and she didn’t know what to do exactly. So I ran about five of her meetings.
I have been helping at Girl Scout meetings for three years. I also help with my mom’s work, Medrad, for the road cleanup in the spring and fall.
I help out at school too. I have been in yearbook club for two years. Last year I picked up three extra pages and I already had two.
I love helping people and it can be fun. I have also helped out at Girl Scout Leader Meetings, I took notes.
I volunteer for many reasons. I like helping people, and I like the fact that I earn Girl Scout Awards for it. Just from 75 hours of service I can earn two awards.
Volunteering can be very rewarding. Whether it’s just opening a door for an elderly person or helping make enough food for almost 200 people at summer camp, it all can be fun.
My mom is a Girl Scout Leader and we volunteer all the time. Even if it’s just helping out at our “little sister” troops’ meetings. I am at every meeting for the little girls because I like helping their leader. We all have fun.
