RELIGIOUS ROUNDUP

BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

There will be no evening services Sunday or Wednesday at Butler Church of The Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68.

Family camp will be held Sunday through Aug. 1.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. each day at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center, 177 North Road.

The Caravan Kids Club program will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday for neighborhood surveying. Participants should meet at the church to receive assignments.

Sunday school delegates and members of the Pittsburgh District Sunday School Ministries convention will attend an evening convention rally at 7 p.m. today at the Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center The rally is open to the public.

Registration for the Pittsburgh District Nazarene Missions International convention will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Mount Chestnut Nazarene Center. Sessions will be held at 9 a.m. and at 1:30 and 7 p.m.

Registration for district assembly delegates will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mt. Chestnut Nazarene Center. Sessions begin at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

CHRIST COMMUNITY U.M.

The mission team of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will report to the congregation about their recent work trip at the weekend services.

Sign-up sheets for volunteers for the church information booth at the Butler Farm Show are in the narthex. For information, call Stacy Burk or the church office.

The church will begin a Purpose Drive Life spiritual renewal campaign in September. Members are asked to submit current e-mail addresses to the church secretary to receive program information.

CHRIST'S OUTREACH

Debbie Price will provide music at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.

COVENANT PRESBY

Diana Walters will be the guest soloist at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.

FAITH FELLOWSHIP

The summer schedule at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway Fared Drive, will be followed Sunday through Aug. 29. The elders and intercessors will meet for prayer at 9:30 a.m. Sundays, followed by the morning service at 10:30 a.m. Prayer teams will meet at 11 a.m. and the Sunday night ministry school will be held at 6 p.m.

Adult prayer and Bible study will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays.

FIRST BAPTIST

Members of the Kingdom Seekers Sunday school class of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will host a family potluck luncheon at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Youth Center.

The Southernaires group will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The church will be involved in a senior high camping program Monday through July 31 at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp.

FIRST PRESBY OF BAKERSTOWN

A mission project for children will be held Sunday through July 30. For details and registration, call First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8 at Heckert Road, at 724-443-1555.

Members interested in participating in Saturday morning cycling group should meet at 8:45 a.m. in the church parking lot.

GLADE RUN U.P.

During August, Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will bake for Meals on Wheels. To volunteer, contact Beverly at 724-352-4639.

HILL U.P.

An all-American dinner will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. For information, or to volunteer with set-up or serving, contact John Richards.

Music, art and drama camp will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday. Youths should take a packed lunch. Donations of pouch drinks and cookies are needed for each day of the camp.

Church teens are still collecting ink jet cartridges for recycling. The group will also be selling note cards they designed.

Set-up volunteers are needed for the Worship without Walls service on Aug. 22. Contact Don Lane for details on set-up and Lynda Lavorini to volunteer for the picnic, which follows worship.

MERIDIAN U.P.

Communion will be served at the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

The Penn Christian Academy of the

Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will hold their corn roast July 31. A sign-up sheet for donations and volunteers is in the back of the church.

RIDER LUTHERAN

The annual outdoor worship and church picnic of St. John's Reformed Church, Route 68 and Benbrook Road, will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. There will be no Sunday school. Take a family size tureen and lawn chairs.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

Pewter ornaments sold by the youth organization of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will be available for pickup after the weekend services. Extra ornaments are available for those who did not pre-order.

plan to attend the white-water rafting trip on July 31 should call the church office to register.

A blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday in the fellowship hall.
