As a small family-run flooring dealer, Butler Floor and Carpet Co. is celebrating our 60th anniversary this year.

Over the years, we have survived the ups and downs of the economy because of our experienced salespeople and installers, competitive pricing, and a professionalism that can’t be matched by any big box store. The company has been fortunate over the years to have hardworking, loyal employees, seven of whom have retired with 40 or more years of service.

Cindy, the company’s bookkeeper, has been an employee for 21 years and is an active member of the Butler County Genealogical Society. She has been volunteering at the Butler Area Public Library weekly for about 14 years. Recently Cindy has volunteered her time to put Standard Steel Car employee records onto microfilm. She also is an active member of her church.

Jim has been a salesperson here for 13 years and volunteers his time for the Center Township Baseball Association as coach or where he is needed.

Robin, who has worked at Butler Floor for two decades as an interior designer and salesperson, is an active member of her church. She was a volunteer at the church library for five years. Robin generously donates her time to various Center Township and Butler Family YMCA sporting events as a coach or assisting at the concession stand.

Lisa, an interior designer and salesperson, has been with Butler Floor for five years. She is an active volunteer with the Pittsburgh Food Bank, volunteering at the Blues Festival, Empty Bowls and the Pittsburgh Auto Show. Other volunteer activities include the Pittsburgh Film Office’s Oscar Party and the Sprout Fund’s Hot House.

Many of Butler Floor and Carpet Company’s other employees and installers are active members of the community and local churches. They generously volunteer their time to teach Sunday school and help with other outreach activities. One of our installers has even traveled to many places in Africa to help build churches and to minister to the people.
