The Butler County sheriff’s office, Butler police, Butler Township police and Butler state police collected 1,743 toys for children Saturday.

The four law enforcement agencies, in conjunction with the Bantam Marine Detachment 743, held the Toys for Tots Stuff a Cruiser collection at three sites: the Clearview Mall in Center Township, the Kmart in Butler and the Walmart in Butler Township.

“Toys for Tots is ecstatic,” said Mike Slupe, Butler County sheriff.

The Butler County American Legion Riders also participated.

The agencies also helped raise $2,158 in financial donations. Walmart donated a $300 gift card.
