Motorists can expect some delays on Route 19 as road work begins early next week.

Lane restrictions will be in affect on Route 19 North and South between Freeport Road and Perry Way in Cranberry and Jackson townships starting Monday.

Restrictions will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night until the work is completed.

One lane will be closed for three miles at a time, and PennDOT expects the project will be completed by the end of August.

Road crews will be milling and paving two-foot wide sections along center line and edge line areas in the road.

Linda Paving Inc. will be doing the work, which will cost $729,599 to complete.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution in work zones and to remember that fines are doubled for violations in those areas, said PennDOT in a news release.
