Lezzer Lumber was founded in 1927 as the Sandri-Lezzer Lumber and Farm Machinery Co. in Curwensville, Pa.
In 1949, Michael H. Lezzer and his sons, Maurice and Kenneth, purchased the lumber portion of the business and named it the Lezzer Lumber Co. Since then, Lezzer Lumber has been a leading retailer of name brand building materials serving Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
The office and warehouse were originally on State Street in Curwensville until a devastating fire in 1971 forced Lezzer to move to its present site on Schofield Street.
Then Lezzer began to evolve from a traditional lumber yard to a home center.
In 1980, Lezzer Lumber opened its retail store in Butler, where it is today at 777 East Butler Road.
It is managed by Greg Kohan, and he has a staff ready to serve you. Its business hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.
