German festival coming to Cranberry Elks
An Oktoberfest open to members and nonmembers will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Cranberry Township Elks Lodge, 20720 Route 19, Cranberry Township.
An evening of fun is promised, with German food, beer and music by the polka band The Burgh Boys.
A costume contest, stein-hoisting contest and Hammerschlagen, a game that sees participants racing to drive nails into a wooden beam, also will be part of the evening.
Tickets are available at the bar at the Elks Club for $30. The cost includes beer, food and entertainment. Other alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase.
