7 p.m. Sunday - Marilyn McCann of Wagner Avenue reported her son's bicycle was taken from North Main Street. The bike is a silver, Pacific model with blue hand grips.Sunday - Police charged Lester Geibel, 49, of 236½ E. Fulton St. with driving under the influence stemming from a crash at 9:21 a.m. Feb. 18 at Pillow and Cunningham streets.The crash occurred when Geibel's vehicle collided with a car driven by Brenda Black, 37, of 856 Route 422 East. Moments earlier, Geibel's vehicle had struck a car, owned by Kevin Spahn of South Sixth Avenue, that was parked on Pillow Street.Saturday - A 14-year-old boy, who was not identified by police, was arrested after allegedly trying unsuccessfully to use a debit card taken from an East Locust Street man. The boy is charged with access device fraud.2:02 p.m. Thursday - A deer ran into the side a pickup driven by William Sarver Jr., 43, of Prospect. The deer suffered major injuries and was later euthanized.
2 a.m. Feb. 21 - John Hayward, 33, is accused of assaulting a 36-year-old woman during an apparent domestic dispute at their house at the Maple Manor Mobile Home park in Brady Township.Helen Hupp suffered a broken nose when she was "head-butted" by Hayward during the assault. Hayward was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
7 p.m. Sunday - A suspected counterfeit $20 bill was received at the County Market Store at the Pine Grove Plaza in Pine Township, Mercer County.Friday - Police are investigating the theft of $100,000 in jewelry from the King's jewelry store in Springfield Township, Mercer County. The jewelry was taken between Sept. 1 and Friday.
