3:09 a.m. Thursday - Brian Riggs, 24, of 434½ Wagner Ave. was arrested for assaulting Heather Cox, 23, during a domestic dispute at the couple's home. Riggs was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.

1 a.m. today - A sport utility vehicle driven by Vanessa Snyder, 33, of West Sunbury skidded on rain-soaked Route 308 in Center Township and struck a guardrail. Snyder, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.10:35 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Christine Bender, 22, of Gibsonia, Allegheny County, skidded in rain-soaked Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and struck a bridge barrier.2 p.m. Thursday - Gary Lee Banner, 38, of 427 Miller St., Butler was arrested on drug-related charges stemming from a six-month investigation by the state police vice unit.Banner is accused of selling cocaine to a confidential informant on Dec. 28, 2000, and Feb. 16, 2001. The alleged drug deals occurred in Butler and at an unidentified Butler Township bar.He was arraigned on charges of delivery and possession of a controlled substance, and released on recognizance bond.

April 13 - A car was reported stolen between April 7 and 13 from a Millbrook Road home in Worth Township, Mercer County. Cheryl Baker of Jackson Center owns the vehicle, which police did not identify.
