11:05 p.m. Wednesday - A 15-year-old boy from Slippery Rock will be charged through juvenile court for having tried to steal a golf cart, leased to the Big Butler Fair, from the fairgrounds. He was caught by security guards and turned over to the state police.2:55 p.m. Wednesday - A vehicle driven by Joseph M. Porter Jr., 34, of Lyndora, hit a vehicle driven by Heather Stewart, 26, of Mars, as Stewart was stopped on Route 68 in Evans City.2:45 p.m. Wednesday - Kathy Walker, 51, of West Sunbury is in the Butler County Jail in lieu of a $1,000 bond after being charged with resisting arrest, public drunkenness, harassment by communication and disorderly conduct.Police were called to 122 Walnut Lane in Clay Township where they found a drunken Walker causing a disturbance. She tried to get into her car and drive away and resisted police as they tried to stop her.4 a.m. July 4 - A 17-year-old Chicora boy was not injured when his truck hit a ditch and overturned on Nail Road in Venango Township. He fled the scene and charges are to be filed.5:30 p.m. June 18 - Charges of theft and criminal mischief are to be filed against a 14-year-old boy who allegedly forced open a Gatorade vending machine and stole drink bottles at Karns City High School in Karns City.
Time unknown, Wednesday - Someone used the credit card number of Michele Metzgar of Sandy Lake to access Internet pornography sites. Police are investigating the incident as identity theft.12:40 a.m. Wednesday - Matthew William Rogers, 19, Nicholas George Painter, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, all of Mercer, were stopped in a car on Spring Road in Springfield Township and cited for underage consumption. The driver, who is unidentified in the police report, was also cited for driving on a junior operator's license after hours. All face charges before District Justice Ruth French in Mercer.11:40 p.m. June 25 - No one was injured in a two car crash at the intersection of Route 208 and a ramp off of Interstate 79 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.The accident occurred when Vickie Lynne Kuhlman, 50, of Roanoke, Va., stopped for the flashing red light at exit ramp 113 off of Interstate 79. She then made a right turn in front of a station wagon driven by Robert P. Braham, 18, of Grove City, causing Braham to hit the back of Kuhlman's van. No charges have been filed.12:07 p.m., June 22 - Ralph Kern of Sandy Lake reported a burglary at his home. Taken were two jewelry boxes, a digital camera, tool kit, generator and $200 in cash, for a total estimated value of $7,157.
