3:32 p.m. Tuesday - Cars driven by Kristine Pyszniak, 54, of Cranberry Township and Randall Fair, 43, of Butler collided at South Washington and West Vogeley streets. Fair and a passenger in his car, Michael Hoover, 38, of Butler, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

12:30 a.m. Wednesday - Derik Stewart, 23, of East Butler is accused of forging a check owned by a relative, and passing the check at a convenience store to buy merchandise.Stewart is charged with forgery, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Azza Gaines, 25, of Butler is also charged with conspiracy, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from the same incident.

8:21 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Sandra Strachan, 44, of Penn Township skidded of snow-covered Old Plank Road and traveled down an embankment. Strachan was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.4 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Renfrew girl, whom police did not identify, skidded off snow-covered Renfrew Road and crashed. No other information was available this morning.

11:05 p.m. Wednesday - Two people were injured when their car struck a guardrail and rolled down an embankment along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Lisa Wagner, 26, of Erie, who was driving, and Clair Bates Jr., 24, of Erie were taken with unknown injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Dennis Grazier, 25, of Titusville, Crawford County, another passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.5:15 p.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Dustin Lindsay, 19, no address given, skidded off snow-covered Portman Road in Summit Township, traveled over a hill and struck two trees. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.3 p.m. Wednesday - David Patterson, 23, of Cabot was arrested for allegedly assaulting Carrie Zourelias, 22, of Cabot at a Moorehead Road home in Winfield Township. Patterson was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond.

9:30 a.m. Tuesday - James Herring, 38, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle struck a cement barrier on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Herring, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.
