10:45 p.m. Thursday, May 5 - A vehicle driven by Randy Grossman, 25, of Boyers and a car driven by Rachel Sutton, 16, of Butler were involved in a two-car accident on West North Street. Police report Grossman's vehicle was stopped behind Sutton's car for a red light at the North Main Street intersection when he pulled around her car, striking the front driver's side fender and bumper.Following the accident, he fled the scene. He later told police he did pull around Sutton, but didn't think there was contact. Grossman was charged with damaging an attended vehicle and careless driving.3 p.m. Friday - A vehicle driven Karen Kelly, 54, of Butler backed into a parked car owned by Richard Soller of Renfrew at the A-Plus parking lot on East Jefferson Street.11:27 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Karen Wardlow, 47, of Butler backed into a parked police cruiser on West Wayne Street near Chestnut Street. The patrolman was assisting another officer with a vehicle stopped in front of Wardlow's car.
Thursday - An undisclosed amount of stainless steel was taken in a theft on May 7 or 8 from Pulva Corp. on Industrial Drive.
10:50 p.m. Friday - A truck driven by Richard Long Jr., 20, of Fenelton traveled off Hildebrand Road in Donegal Township and struck two trees. Fenelton was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Long was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.5:15 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Samuel Carson Knoch, 59, of Tarentum traveled off the road at the intersection of Route 228 and Saxonburg Road, hitting an embankment. Knoch was cited for careless driving.1:30 p.m. Friday, April 29 - Steven James Williams, 23, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Claytonia Road in Clay Township.Thursday, April 29 - Three Slippery Rock Township residents were charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft and criminal conspiracy. Michael Kunco, 19, Travis Bruno, 19, and a 15-year-old male are accused of taking three firearms from the mobile home of Rex Grossman, also of Slippery Rock. Kunco and Bruno also are charged with corruption of minors and were remanded to Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond. After police were involved, Kunco returned the firearms.
10:40 p.m. Thursday - After being notified of a possible underage drinking party at a private drive off East Brady Cemetery Road in Bradys Bend Township, police found about 50 minors there. Charges of underage drinking, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana are pending against the youths.
