Mellott

Audrey J. Mellott, 90, of Butler, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Audrey was born in New Paris, Pa., on Feb. 26, 1934, daughter of the late Charles D. and Edna (Weaver) Mitchell.

On Jan. 29, 1955, she married her husband Roy R. Mellott, who preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2016.

Audrey was raised in the Dunnings Creek Church of Brethren.

She is survived by daughter, Belinda and her husband, William King, of Slippery Rock; son, Clifford Mellott and his wife, Betsy Strawbridge, of Slippery Rock; grandchildren, Colby King and his wife, Carrie Phillips, Trevor King and his wife, Clara McClenon, Caitlin and her husband, William Gabrys, Dana and her husband, Arthur Boring III, Dustin Mellott and Kyle Strawbridge; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey King, Delores King and Arthur Boring IV.

Audrey was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond, Lewis, Richard, infant brother Owen, and sister Kathleen Snyder.

MELLOTT — A viewing for Audrey J. Mellott, who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 1 at GEISEL-STYER FUNERAL HOME, 3779 Pitt St., Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Larson officiating.

Interment will be at Cuppett Cemetery, New Paris, Pa.
