Janet Humes-Lott, 76, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 18, 1948, to the late William Humes and Irene Koller.

Janet graduated from Fox Chapel High School and worked in hospitality services in Clearwater and Tampa, Fla. She loved all animals, especially her cat, Sammy. Janet also loved to read, play on the internet and play lottery scratch-off tickets. She enjoyed going out to dinner, spending time with family and her dear friend, Donna. Janet spent many years in Florida and returned to Pennsylvania five years ago to be with her family. She was known for being a kind person and would help anyone in need.

She was the sister of James C. Humes; and aunt of James Humes, Tammy Cushey, William Humes and Tim Humes. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her stepmother, Nancy Humes; and her brother, Paul Humes.

HUMES-LOTT — All arrangements for Janet Humes-Lott, who died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, were made privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A celebration of life, planned by her family, will be announced at a later date.
