4:15 a.m. Friday - A neighbor of William Lee Kaiser reported a hit-and-run accident in which Kaiser's parked car was struck overnight by another vehicle on West Quarry Street at the South Jackson Street intersection. Kaiser's rear bumper was damaged.June 26 - Kevin Graham, 34, of Sharpsburg was charged with driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on a one-way street after toxicology test results returned this week from the state police lab in Greensburg. Graham was tested following a traffic stop.

11:04 a.m. Friday - Carl Kraus, 44, of New Castle was arrested on suspicion of selling counterfeit designer purses. After police responded to a call, they found Kraus with 34 purses at the Coldwell Banker Real Estate office parking lot on New Castle Road. He was selling the items out of his vehicle. The purses were seized and charges are pending against Kraus for misdemeanor trademark counterfeiting and soliciting without a permit. The knock-off brands were Coach, El Avenue, Louis Vitton, Prada and Rosetti.

2:45 a.m. July 10 - A vehicle driven by Robin Fischer, 31, of West Sunbury was traveling on North Duffy Road in Center Township when it left the road and hit a pole. After calling a tow truck, Fischer and her husband, Eric Fischer, 32, who was a passenger, left. Robin Fischer was cited for not contacting police or the property owners. She told police the accident was caused after she swerved to avoid hitting a deer on the road. Both Fishers were wearing seat belts and weren't injured.12:17 a.m. Friday - Keith Alan Patterson Jr., 25, of Ellwood City was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 108 at the Stoughton Road intersection in Slippery Rock Township.Monday - The Big Butler County Fair Board reported the theft of three wood carvings, a bear cub on a limb, turtle on a rock and a bench, from the fairgrounds off New Castle Road in Prospect between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:20 a.m. Monday.
