Sunday - Undisclosed property valued at $400 was taken between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. from a car at the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township.12:55 a.m. Aug. 13 - Matthew Dipner, 21, of New Castle was arrested for driving under the influence at Route 528 and West Liberty Road in Brady Township.

8:30 p.m. Sunday - A 14-year-old boy is suspected of escaping George Junior Republic and leaving the juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County, in his counselor's car. Police had no other information about the escape, saying only that the investigation continues.
