12:27 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Joseph Tate, 30, of Evans City struck a car owned by Dale Rice of Butler on West Penn Street and then veered across the road and hit a utility pole. Police said Tate drove off after the crash.

Wednesday — Samantha Boucher, no age given, of Sarver was charged with making up a report that her car was damaged in a hit-and-run crash Dec. 29. Police said they investigated the report and determined Boucher allegedly caused the crash herself.She is charged with false reports, reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions and illegally passing another vehicle.

Tuesday — Police found a boy's BMX-style bike along Jackson Street.Saturday — A 24-inch mountain bike was found along the hillside behind Steigerwald's Custom Cabinets, 120 S. Broad St. The metallic blue and silver bike is a Next brand.9:30 a.m. Dec. 29 — A black Espirit wallet belonging to Vivian Lewis of Grove City was reported stolen from the Grove City Post Office.

Friday — Benjamin Rodgers, 22, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after police saw him pull out of Midway Street heading in the wrong direction.Wednesday — Cars driven by Nicholas Claypoole, 28, of Butler and Mary Dininger, 18, of Sarver collided on Route 2010 in front of the Kwik Fill parking lot in Winfield Township. Lynne Wolf, 43, of Cabot, a passenger in Dininger's car, suffered minor injuries; she was wearing a seat belt.

Wednesday — A stump cutter and trailer, both yellow and both Vermeer brand, were taken between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday from a parking lot next to T&L Cycles on Route 8 in Middlesex Township. James O'Conner of Valencia owns the stolen property.Dec. 24 — Two credit cards were taken Dec. 23 or 24 in a burglary at Giel Garbage Doors & Openers on Route 8 in Penn Township. Police noted the cards were later returned and not used.
