11:29 p.m. Friday — Two brothers, Mark A. Andre, 34, and Gregory A. Andre, 32, both of Butler, were charged with simple assault after police responded to a call at 122 Wallula Ave. It involved a dispute over how Gregory Andre was watching Mark Andre's 12-year-old son. Both men were arraigned before District Judge Woessner and jailed in Butler County Prison in lieu of bond.

Thursday — An Ohio man was charged with forgery after allegedly signing a relative's name to three checks. Royce Toy, 38, of Hubbard, Ohio, is accused of signing the name of Todd Toy, 29, of Freeport on the checks, which were used to buy $117 worth of items from Nelson's Mini Mart in Wayne Township, Armstrong County.

4 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Matthew Kriebel, 24, of Rimersburg was traveling on Route 68 in Madison Township when it struck a sign and pole before it rolled over a hill. Kriebel, who was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries. The East Brady Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
