3:40 p.m. Saturday — Patrick Duncan, 25, of 570 Herman Road was arrested after officers stopped him driving a stolen car near Cunningham and Pillow streets.The car about two hours earlier had been reported stolen from Herman Road in Summit Township. Duncan, sandwiched by two city cruisers, stopped the car and ran; however, officers caught him on West New Castle Street after a brief chase.Duncan is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also being held on a probation violation.
1:48 a.m. Monday — Sarah Kichler, 23, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.Monday — Police reported nine motorists in March were cited for speeding more than 30 mph over the posted speed limits on Interstate 79 and other roads in Butler County.Three of the drivers — from Pittsburgh, New Castle and Orlando, Fla. — were clocked at 100 mph on I-79. Police vowed to continue to crack down on speeders.9:25 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Michael Lymburner, 65, of Ontario, Canada, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.5:55 p.m. Sunday — Acar driven by Ryan Baker, no age given, of Portersville struck a traffic sign on Route 19, crossed the road and hit the bottom of a porch near Route 488 in Portersville.Baker, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. He was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh; his condition was not known this morning.
7:22 p.m. Saturday — An unidentified white or gray van struck a pickup truck on Route 3017 near Church Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, and did not stop following the crash. Chris King, 38, of Kittanning was driving the pickup.10:41 p.m. Friday — Clarence Guntrum, 45, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 1031 near Nichols Road in Boggs Township, Armstrong County.5:37 p.m. Friday—Acar driven by Broc Aaron Page, 18, of Worthington fishtailed on rain-soaked Route 422 in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof. Page, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
