11:21 p.m. Tuesday — Gordan Schmude of Butler reported that his black mountain bike was taken from the front of the YMCA on North Washington Street. The bicycle, a Giant Sadona model, is valued at $200.

9:55 p.m. Sunday — Janice Covert, 35, of Butler faces drunken driving and other charges following a hit-and-run crash on McCalmont Road near Kelly Chevrolet.Police suspect Covert was driving a car that sideswiped a pickup truck driven by Carl Kern, 54, of Butler; the car did not stop. Police later found Covert, who denied being in the crash, and told officers that she was the victim of a hit-and-run in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store on nearby Pittsburgh Road.Covert is suspected of driving under the influence; she also faces charges of driving with a suspended license, false reports and other traffic violations.

Monday — An unknown vandal or vandals broke out the glass of a sign at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Westminster Road in Clinton Township. Chalk was also used to write "Satan"and "666" on the outside stone and brick wall of the church. The vandalism occurred between 2 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 p.m. Monday.
