6:47 a.m. Monday — Stanley Regis, 62, of Butler Township was arrested for assaulting Mary Walsh, 41, during a dispute at her Garfield Avenue home. Regis is charged with simple assault and public drunkenness.11:45 p.m. Friday — Melinda Smith, no age given, of Butler Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Hansen Avenue. She also faces charges of driving too fast for conditions and driving without a right taillight.

7:21 p.m. Sunday — Jeffrey Yokel, 50, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and careless driving after his car struck two trees along South Eberhart Road. Police said Yokel drove off after the crash, and officers a short time later stopped him on Evans City Road.

11:06 a.m. Friday — Anthony Giovengo, 27, of Hemlock Square, Zelienople, reported the vehicle he was driving hit a deer while it was traveling east on West Beaver Street in the area of Muntz Run Road.
