2:21 a.m. Thursday — Cortez Lucas, 33, of Braddock was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and not obeying traffic signals following a traffic stop on West New Castle Street. Police found a glass marijuana pipe in the vehicle.7:14 a.m. Wednesday — Police arrested Kenneth Roberson, 50, at his apartment at 410 S. Monroe St., Apt. 4 on an outstanding warrant. Roberson, who was using the alias Kenneth Perryman, is a wanted fugitive from California. Roberson was arraigned before District Judge Peter Shaffer and jailed in Butler County Prison on a $20,000 cash bond to await extradition.
6:55 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Amy Polowichak, 20, of Kittanning struck a guardrail on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.2:06 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by James Clark, 79, and a car driven by Sandra Crawford, 40, both of Worthington, collided at the intersection of Butler and Wible roads in East Franklin Township. Police cited Clark for a traffic violation.
Thursday — Ronald Cross of Ellwood City reported a burglary at his Slippery Rock Township trailer on Mill Bridge Road that occurred between 5:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. A Browning 12-gauge shotgun and an unspecified amount of cash were stolen.7:45 p.m. Tuesday — A 14-year-old Scott Township girl was charged with making terroristic threats and simple assault. She is accused of threatening John Nogee, age unavailable, yelling she was going to stab him. The girl was placed in the Krause Youth Shelter in New Castle. A juvenile petition on the charges was filed at Lawrence County Juvenile Probation Wednesday morning.
