11:20 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Theodore Seginak, 85, of Butler was traveling on Center Avenue when it struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Karen Bernardi, 35, of Butler. No injuries were reported.1:15 a.m. Wednesday — Jeffrey A. Blystone, 43, of Butler was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespass and burglary after allegedly breaking into a woman's home and assaulting her. He was jailed in Butler County Prison on a $25,000 bond.10:44 p.m. Aug. 13 — Timothy C. Chapman, 41, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and not having a valid registration following a traffic stop on Mercer Road.

8:30 p.m. Aug. 13 — A 1989 white Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was stolen from a Hansen Avenue driveway, using a white, unmarked flatbed truck. The car has a burgundy interior and no registration plate. Anyone with information about the theft should call township police at 724-285-9600.

8 p.m. Thursday — State police caught a male juvenile, age unavailable, driving a stolen van on Interstate 79 near Zelienople. Earlier in the day, the juvenile escaped from George Junior Republic, a juvenile treatment center in Grove City. He is accused of stealing a van driven by Douglas Wick of Grove City while it was parked at the facility. A pursuit occurred on the highway, ending when stop sticks were used to blow out the tires of the van. The juvenile was placed in a Greenville Keystone juvenile detention center.
