1:24 a.m. Monday — Chris Reddinger, 21, of Kittanning was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop at South Pike and Coal roads in front of the Freeport High School. Police also cited Reddinger for driving without license plate lights.

11:47 a.m. Saturday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle chain collision on South Main Street.Police said the crash occurred when vehicles driven by Thomas Haus, 17, and Renato Denardis, 78, both of Zelienople collided, forcing Denardis' car into a vehicle driven by Robert Bundy, 48, of Zelienople.1:30 a.m. Aug. 26 — A Zelienople man faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred earlier that evening.Police charged Steven Frank Shoop, 20, who was found asleep in a vehicle parked in the Grace Church parking lot in Harmony. The vehicle matched the description of one that had been involved in a hit-and-run accident.He also will face other charges connected with the accident.Italo J. DiBuono, 66, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, told police at the Buy N Fly station on Route 68 of the accident that occurred earlier at East Grandview Avenue and North Main Street.

4:50 p.m. Aug. 28 — Derek Hillyer, 26, of Conneaut, Ohio, was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop at Routes 208 and 258 in Springfield Township, Mercer County.Police said they found Hillyer with a small amount of methamphetamine. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
