6:18 p.m. Wednesday — A constable arrested a former Butler man wanted on a bench warrant issued by Butler County Court.Daryl Cottom, 25, of Altoona, Blair County, was picked up and placed in the Butler County Prison. He also is charged with possession of a controlled substance, after being found with a suspected prescription sedative pill wrapped in cellophane and concealed in a cigarette pack.Wednesday — Michael Harvey told police his wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at his East Christie Avenue home. The theft occurred between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:55 a.m. Wednesday.

10:52 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Moriah Butler, 19, of Cranberry Township struck a tree along Sun Mine Road in Clinton Township. Butler was cited for driving too fast for conditions.10:30 a.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by James Fleeger, 22, of Butler struck a tree along Staff Road in Brady Township.

4:45 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Daryl Vaughan, 50, of Volant crashed into a fence and struck a utility pole along Brent Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Vaughan, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

9 p.m. Monday — A Sony Play Station 2 game system was stolen from the Ditty Lane mobile home of David Kightlighter in Rimersburg.
