10:20 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Janice McCarthy, 55, of Pittsburgh slid off Interstate 79, struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof in Muddy Creek Township.10:30 a.m. Wednesday — Four Karns City High School girls are accused of drinking vodka with Mountain Dew during their gym class at the school in Fairview Township. The three 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old were cited for underage drinking.12:02 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Benjamin Bennett, 23, of Butler and an SUV driven by Noel Plummer, 70, of Portersville collided on Route 8 at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.Judy Bennett, 55, of Butler, a passenger in the car, and Nancy Evans-Plummer, 67, of Portersville, a passenger in the SUV, suffered minor injuries.Both were wearing seat belts.Dec. 1 — A large amount of coins and several pieces of silver jewelry were taken between 5:50 p.m. Nov. 30 and 7 p.m. Dec. 1 in a burglary at the Water Street Extension home of Timothy Conner and Heather Kammerdiener in Bruin.
Wednesday — A Briggs & Stratton v-twin, two-cylinder compressor motor, valued at $4,000, was stolen between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday from a gas well site on Bunker Hill Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. T&TCompression of Clymer owns the stolen property.
