Friday — Jason Blystone, 33, of 109 Hickory St. was charged with writing bad checks after Friedman's turned in four checks that were returned because of insufficient funds. The checks totaled $287.29, and there was a $20 fee for each returned check.

Friday — Someone between 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday took CDs and other property from a vehicle owned by Dan Gilmore of Church Street in Clintonville as it was parked in front of his home.
