11:27 p.m. Sept. 20 — Charles Robb Hoffman, 53, of Pittsburgh was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Route 19 near Gudekunst Road.6:49 p.m. Sept. 5 — Police charged two Ellwood City teens with drug charges related to a traffic stop on Route 19 near the Kwik Fill station. Joshua Shurtz, 18, was charged with use/possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and purchase/consumption/possession/transportation of alcoholic beverages. Joseph Shuttleworth, 18, was charged with possession of marijuana.
7:15 p.m. Thursday — Lynn Pint of Butler reported someone damaged her driver side window of her car while it was at Adams Manufacturing on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.5:24 p.m. Thursday — Thomas C. Bridges, 60, of Prospect was cited for retail theft after he allegedly took at 12-pack of beer from Cases Beer Distributor in Franklin Township without paying.12:27 a.m. Thursday — Three people suffered minor injuries in a two-car wreck on state Route 308 just north of Pry Road in Cherry Township. A car driven by Matthew Slaughenhaupt, 18, of Butler and a truck driven by John Windisch, 56, of Harrisville collided. Slaughenhaupt and his passenger, Karen Windisch, 48, of Harrisville were taken to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment. Slaughenhaupt was cited for driving on roads lined for traffic and driving a vehicle at a safe speed. The charges were filed at District Judge Lewis Stoughton's office in Chicora.Tuesday — Terry Scott of Butler and Kenneth Anderson of Butler both reported someone took their KTM 50 motorcycles, one from a storage shed at Timblin Road and the other from the yard at 456 Staff Road, both in Clay Township.5 p.m. Sunday — Shelly Cornelius of Fennelton reported someone took an iPOD nano from her home.
9 a.m. Thursday — Deann Campbell of Sligo reported someone smashed the back window of her truck at her house at 414 Coerain St.
10 p.m. Wednesday — Richard Ferraro of Butler reported someone took a 20 to 24 foot aluminum extension ladder from his camp at Rupps Campground in Pine Township.1 a.m. Monday — Brenda Neal of Kittanning reported someone took her mailbox from Coal Street in Manor Township.
1 a.m. Thursday — Savannah Dyll of Kinsman, Ohio, reported she was walking on Route 19 when a car came up behind her and an unknown male got out and grabbed her. She was able to get away, but couldn't provide a description. She was not injured. The incident occurred about three-quarters of a mile south of Rodgers Hill Road in Coolspring Township.
