12:40 a.m. today — Charles Walker, 51, of Garfield, Ohio, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in the parking lot of the Red Apple convenience store in Prospect. Police said they also charged Walker with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Monday — Asilver, 2001 Ford F250 pickup truck was reportedly stolen between 10:10 and 10:45 a.m. from in front of the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department on West Slippery Rock Street in the borough.The pickup, owned by Harley Flick of Chicora, bears the Pennsylvania license plate YNG7994. Police also noted the vehicle has several dents in it and has an extended bed with a toolbox.Monday — An unknown thief between Saturday and Monday stole $40 from the cash register at Saxony Garden Florist &Greenhouse on Constitution Avenue in Jefferson Township.8:15 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Jeremy Skaggs, 25, of Pittsburgh caught fire and burned on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Skaggs was not injured.Noon Friday — James William Bates Jr., 40, of Saxonburg was arrested after he allegedly struck a 41-year-old woman with a broom during a domestic dispute on Driftwood Drive in Jefferson Township.Police said Bates was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,000 bond.
4:35 p.m. Sunday — Apickup truck driven by Jennifer Baysinger, 45, of East Brady and a van driven by Robert W. Boyd, 54, of Butler collided on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.1:30 a.m. Saturday — Holly McCullough, 29, of Natrona, Allegheny County, allegedly punched Kimberly Martin, 46, in the head during an altercation at the victim's Freeport Road home in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.Police said McCullough was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and then placed in the Armstrong County Jail on $2,500 bond.
