12:34 a.m. Sunday — Matthew Sydlik, 23, of Renfrew was arrested for driving under the influence on South McKean Street. Sydlik also was cited for driving with a loud and faulty exhaust system.

10:37 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Norman G. Moore, 68, of Butler struck the rear of an unidentified large, black truck on Route 68 in Forward Township. For unknown reasons the driver of the truck drove away after the crash.Moore was treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for unknown injuries.8 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Heather Micholas, 47, of Butler crashed into an embankment on ice-covered Route 356 in Summit Township.6:45 a.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Lindsay Hulbert, 19, and a pickup driven by Larry Pollock, 54, both of Chicora, collided on ice-covered Route 68 in Oakland Township.6:45 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Luv-Rance Powell, 29, of New Castle crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police blamed the crash on the ice-covered highway.1:30 a.m. Saturday — A crash in a Slippery Rock Township parking lot apparently escalated into an assault.Amir Panahiazar, 20, and William Liston, 21, both of Slippery Rock, told police they were attacked by four or five white men in the Ivy Apartments after exchanging information regarding the crash. The unknown suspects are described as tall and driving a red, two-door Ford Explorer with a black brush guard.Saturday — Chad Zboran told police someone broke into his home at the Ivy Apartments in Slippery Rock Township and stole a Hewlett-Packard laptop computer valued at $1,400. The burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. Friday and 1:50 a.m. Saturday.Saturday — A Winchester .300 Magnum rifle was taken from a vehicle parked on Main Hill Road in Petrolia. The theft occurred between Dec. 7 and Saturday.6:45 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Rolando Torres, 33, of Sligo, Clarion County, struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof after skidding off ice-covered Route 308 in Venango Township.2:45 a.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Jonathan Hamilton, 22, of Waynesburg, Greene County, struck an embankment and rolled over, landing on its wheels, after skidding off slush-covered Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.

4 p.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Shelly A. Wilson, 31, of East Brady crashed into and over a guardrail, hit a guy wire pole and rolled onto its roof along slush-covered Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township.

5:45 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Richard A. Hoover, 54, of Portersville skidded on ice and struck a traffic sign and a pile of large logs along Hogue Road in Slippery Rock Township. The pickup became airborne for about 21 feet before hitting a tree.
