West 100th birthday
Mariam West of Marion Manor in Greentree recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a party.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1904, in Hays. She married Loyal West in 1924. Mr. West died in 1974.
Mrs. West worked as a nurses' aid in Pittsburgh and in California.
She enjoys singing, Halloween and dressing in costume.
She is a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
