Walter and Ruth Anderson of Sarver will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house at 1 p.m. March 20 in Heide Hall at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver.

The former Ruth Wonderly married Walter Anderson on March 17, 1944, at Maxwell Field Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala.

The couple has one child, Dana McCoy of Sarver.

They also have three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Anderson is the owner of Anderson Construction and Excavating Company and is the developer of Buffalo Estates. He is a former board member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and former president of the local coachman club camping group. Anderson enjoys bird-watching and visiting friends and family.

Mrs. Anderson is the secretary/treasurer of Anderson Construction and Excavating Company. She is a member of the local coachman club camping group and the St. Paul's ladies guild. She enjoys gardening and crafts.

They are members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
