Gene and Jean Wittenmeyer of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. May 15 at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg.

The former Jean Warman married Gene Wittenmeyer on May 9, 1954, at Mulberry Methodist Church, Mount Vernon, Ohio.

They have three children, Dale Wittenmeyer of Saxonburg, Karen Martin of Harmony and Kathy Bucci of Zelienople.

They also have three grandchildren and two stepgrandsons.

Wittenmeyer retired from PPG Industries after 44 years, and is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Mrs. Schnur is retired from Butler County and is a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

The couple attends Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
